Club
Kronbars is a student sports club that unites all sports lovers at ITMO University. It develops various sports clubs and select teams, and organizes events and tournaments.
Kronbars was named the top Russian student sports club in 2016 and 2017.

With each year, Kronbars is moving forward, taking part in international sports competitions, improving its sports facilities, and sharing knowledge and experience with students and sports managers from other universities. In the past five years, Kronbars has taken part in launching numerous sports tournaments, festivals and other projects.
Mascot
The club’s mascot is Tim the Snow Leopard. He takes part in every event, supports teams at home games, andand is a sports enthusiast himself. Tim encourages athletes to overcome difficulties, reach new heights, take prizes and never give up.
Sports
Students at ITMO University can choose any sports they like. There are more than 65 clubs and 50 different sports, and the clubs are divided into three levels: basic, intermediate, and professional.
Basic level includes clubs available to all students.
Intermediate-level clubs train the university's reserve teams.
Professional level includes clubs for well-trained students from the University’s select teams.
Apart from that, the club organizes the Kronbars Games Student Sports Festival, where students represent their departments and compete in more than 15 different sports.

We also rent sports facilities for sports such as hockey, football, handball, rowing, swimming, athletics, and wrestling.
Sports Scholarships
ITMO University hosts an annual competition for an athletic scholarship. Starting from their second year, students can take part in the competition and win an additional scholarship of 5 to 25 thousand rubles. The amount of the scholarship depends on each student’s achievements. You can read more about the competition here.
There is also a special scholarship program for entrants and first-year students. Winners get 10 thousand rubles during the first semester; the scholarship continues into the second semester if students pass all their exams successfully. You can read more about the program here.

How to Join the Club
Every student can become a member of the Kronbars sports club and get a membership card, which allows you to participate in various events and receive bonuses from the club’s partners.
